Hello Ardans,
 
As of this uptime, the following has changed pertaining to
spell quests and scrolls:
 
* The transcribe command is no longer available; you must perform
  the quest in order to learn the spell (as was the case with most
  if not all spells!).
 
* If you already know the spell, your quest reward may come in
  the form of a scroll.
 
* Casting a spell from a scroll will now be slightly easier for
  the intelligent caster.
 
* The 'cast' and 'conjure' commands are now direct aliases of
  one another; you may 'cast' ER spells and 'conjure' FR spells -
  note that each spell has its own specific skill checks.
 
Valinor has enacted these changes to allow for more creativity
in spell casting (both by players and by our development team).
 
Quests which previously offered an alternate reward to a
spell have not been altered - they will continue to offer an
alternate reward.
 
We hope that you enjoy this optional flexibility in your
roleplay and gameplay.
