The tactical advantages of being on a mount in the midst of combat
are immeasurable. A mount provides leverage as well as speed to a
trained cavalryman. Mounted combat is the skill of maneuvering a mount
to avoid and lessen the blow of a weapon, while at the same time
increasing the effectiveness of yours.
