Newbie (Player Guides)
Welcome to The Two Towers MUD, based on Tolkien's beautifully written
epic, The Lord of the Rings! You have ventured into a very different
world - a world of adventure, of life and of death, of war and of glory.
If you're new here, you're probably struggling with all of the many
things to figure out. But don't worry, there are plenty of people out
there who are just waiting to help you.
If you are stuck and not sure what to do, your first step should be
our help system. Type "help topics" to see what you can learn more about.
Optionally, if you are using the web/facebook client, you can view the
help files in a separate window available under the "Help" button.
If you need more direct assistance, or do not want to browse through
the somewhat lengthy help system, you should ask Newbiehelpers for help.
The best way to do this is by using the newbiecomm, to which you should
have been already introduced in the tutorial. Simply type:
] Hello!
to send a message on the newbiecomm. In the rare occasion that you
should receive no reply (it might happen that currently there are no
helpers online), you can ask any other player online using the "tell"
command. Simply type "who all" to see the list of players currently
logged on, and then "tell <player name> <message>".
