Welcome to The Two Towers

Let`s start with a basic overview. The Two Towers (referred to as T2T throughout the rest of this file) is a MUD. If you don`t know what that is, briefly, it is a role-playing game where multiple players can log on simultaneously. Now that you know where you are, a little about this specific MUD.

T2T is based on the works of the great J.R.R. Tolkien. If you are not familiar with Mr. Tolkien`s work, we suggest you type 'help theme', which goes into more detail about the theme of our mud. We have made an effort to reproduce the world that existed in the mind of Tolkien, and even expand slightly on that world. You will find here all of the popular areas described in detail in the books, but we are even putting together areas that were not necessarily explored in Tolkien`s works.

The first thing that you, as an adventurer in T2T, need to do is choose a race. If you are having trouble, type 'help races'.... Now that you have a race, you are ready to start exploring the world. You will be fighting various computer generated monsters all along the way, so it is in your best interest to get some equipment before you wander too far. If you have problems with anything, try typing 'help' then looking for a topic related to your problem. Have fun, and welcome!
