Dear Ardans,
 
 
harass - to torment persistently, to impede by 
         repeated attacks, to plague
 
We (obviously) take harassment very seriously, and wish
to provide an environment in which both players and
immortals alike can have fun (and work).
 
Understand that "seriously" means we will seek to 
eradicate any harassment we find going on, punish the 
harassers, eventually banning them from the game. We 
will not allow harassment on the basis of gender, ideas,
petitions, nationality, sexual orientation or anything
else having nothing to do with our game.
 
If you find yourself at odds with this policy, feel 
free to find another game. If you find that you cannot 
play the game, you cannot experience Tolkiens world, 
the War of the Ring, or any of the other many things 
this MUD has to offer without resorting to harassing 
other players who do not share your , find 
another game. We won't put up with these things that
have nothing to do with playing and enjoying our game.
 
It shall be the Power of Law, and to a lesser extent 
the entire immortal staff, who are charged with 
upholding our beliefs that harassment is unwelcome,
and that all players will be protected regardless of
any one persons beliefs that it is not "necessary"
to protect people from harassment, or the depraved
who incorrectly assert that harassment should be
"part of the game" - it is not, and will not be.
 
Finally, a note just from me: Through the years as
Power of Law, I have seen many many of you complain
to me when you felt you were subject to some form of
harassment - I have the unique position of KNOWING
that no one is safe from this happening to you.
Keep that in mind the next time you decide that you
are going to torment another player or staff member.
